AntiVenom Recovery Ministry is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals who are in recovery or choosing to live a sober lifestyle. Our mission is to help people strengthen their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being by providing accessible wellness resources, a supportive community, and healthy coping tools.
Addiction has touched the lives of many families, including our founder’s. Through those experiences, we saw firsthand how critical community, structure, and positive outlets are in sustaining recovery. Anti-Venom Recovery was founded in 2021 with the belief that healing happens when individuals are supported in caring for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
Our programs focus on practical, sustainable tools that support long-term sobriety. Through free fitness classes, outdoor activities, nutrition education, and connection to recovery resources, we help individuals develop healthier lifestyles that promote resilience and stability. Physical activity can reduce stress, improve sleep, and support mental health, while balanced nutrition helps restore the body and stabilize mood during recovery. We also encourage spiritual well-being through practices that foster purpose, connection, and inner strength.
At Anti-Venom Recovery, we believe recovery is about more than abstinence—it’s about rebuilding a life filled with health, purpose, and meaningful connection.

OUR FOUNDER
Dawn Quijada didn't come to this ministry through theory or textbooks; she came through the trenches. Having witnessed the devastating impact of addiction on her own family members, Dawn knows firsthand the heartbreak, the helplessness, and the desperate prayers that come with loving someone in the grip of substance abuse. But she also knows something else: that freedom is possible, and that no one is beyond the reach of God's redemptive power.
It was this battle, watching loved ones struggle, fall, and fight, that ignited an unshakable passion within Dawn's heart. She couldn't stand by and watch another family torn apart, another life wasted, another person convinced they were too far gone to be saved. Out of her own pain and her deep faith in Christ, AntiVenom Recovery Ministry was born.
Dawn believes that everyone deserves the chance to taste their power after tasting the poison. Her mission is rooted in compassion, fueled by experience, and anchored in the unwavering belief that Jesus Christ is the ultimate healer and restorer. She founded AntiVenom not just to help people stay sober, but to help them get free, truly, completely, powerfully free.
