OUR FOUNDER
Dawn Quijada didn't come to this ministry through theory or textbooks; she came through the trenches. Having witnessed the devastating impact of addiction on her own family members, Dawn knows firsthand the heartbreak, the helplessness, and the desperate prayers that come with loving someone in the grip of substance abuse. But she also knows something else: that freedom is possible, and that no one is beyond the reach of God's redemptive power.

It was this battle, watching loved ones struggle, fall, and fight, that ignited an unshakable passion within Dawn's heart. She couldn't stand by and watch another family torn apart, another life wasted, another person convinced they were too far gone to be saved. Out of her own pain and her deep faith in Christ, AntiVenom Recovery Ministry was born.

Dawn believes that everyone deserves the chance to taste their power after tasting the poison. Her mission is rooted in compassion, fueled by experience, and anchored in the unwavering belief that Jesus Christ is the ultimate healer and restorer. She founded AntiVenom not just to help people get clean, but to help them get free, truly, completely, powerfully free.
